Why I chose to be an Artist

The question is... do we really have a choice, or does Art choose us?
Growing up, my world was a canvas of color and creativity. Surrounded by artists – my grandmother, my mother – I was encouraged to splash my own hues onto the page. But it wasn't until art school at Open Window Art Academy, painting faces and stories, that I fell head over heels in love with the brush. I knew then: I'd paint for life.
The path wasn't straightforward. I stumbled, learned, and grew – discovering entrepreneurial grit alongside artistic flair. And now, here I stand, more in love with painting than ever. No other path beckons.
A new season unfolds this year, and I'm drawn to capturing the essence of women, children, and animals – their stories, their spirit. I am looking forward to share my journey with you!
